A report published recently in the Journal of Clinical Microbiology and PLoS ONE has uncovered that Sebastian Barry received an honorary degree last night for his unmatched contribution to the field of literature.
It has been found that the Irish author from Dublin was amongst the four authors, all of whom have won the same award for their work. The other three included Irial Finan, who is the executive vice-president for Coca-Cola, ‘New York Times’ columnist Maureen Dowd and Jim Flaherty, the Canadian Finance Minister.
The awards are organized annually by the National University of Ireland, Galway. It has affirmed that an amazing part has been played by winners in different fields such as public administration, journalism, business, government as well as literature.
